About Pedal Project

PEDALPROJECT (formerly Kiwivelo Wellington) is well established servicing Wellington cyclists for years through our experienced and knowledgeable staff.

We only stock brands that we know and trust, so when you are shopping with us you know if we won't ride it, we won't sell it.

With our staff's combined experience no workshop shop job is too big or too small and we will do our best to get your bike back to you on the same day as delivery.

For a desirable and life changing purchase/investment we stock Pinarello, just one ride on these bikes and you'll find out why they are so phenomenal. The Focus range offers German engineering and even better performance, just Google it to see any number of amazing reviews. Norco just reminds us how much fun it is to ride a bike, but don't get us wrong these bikes are fast! We now also stock Cervelo, Felt and Trek bikes.

The team at Pedal Project are all passionate people that love riding bikes from tour riding, enduro racing, triathlon, cyclo cross to just cruising around. Between them all they have pretty much done it and with a load of experience and knowledge there is very rarely something they can not share with you.

Our aim is to look after you in the best way possible and treat you professionally.

PEDALPROJECT is nestled in the heart of Te Aro near the corner of Victoria and Dixon street. Come meet the team and see why we will be your new favorite bike shop.

Shane

Shane has worked in the Cycle industry from a young age starting off his career by building bikes, fixing bikes and ultimately selling bikes. Shane has been riding and racing bikes from when he was a school boy and was a great competitor and is still a high achiever.

Moving from Rotorua where he grew up, he was offered a job at Penny Farthing Cycles, a company that he ultimately purchased and ran very successfully for quite a few years.  Shane then moved into a sales role, which was a change from the retail game and business ownership.

After a number of years in the sales role, Shane was asked to help build the Wellington store for the firm (KiwiVelo Wellington). After a short period he was offered the opportunity to purchase the store and this he did. The Wellington operation broke away from the KiwiVelo branding and evolved to what is now operational as, Pedal Project Wellington. Pedal Project Wellington is now owned and operated by Shane and his partner Rachael, who is herself a high achieving cyclist/triathlete.
